UF/CRER jointly with IIRT established the key objectives of the courses offered. The curriculum & it’s content is provided by UF/CRER. UF/CRER also sets the final exam and confers certificates to successful students.
The Center for Retailing Education and Research, located in the Warrington College of Business Administration and working within the University of Florida community strives to:
- Develop tomorrow's leaders by stimulating student interest in retailing careers,
- Preparing students for entry-level management,
- Providing continuing education opportunities,
- Facilitating communications between retailers and academics, and
- Researching retailing issues and opportunities.
The objectives are directed toward finding ways to increase retailing productivity and uncover effective strategies for dealing with heightened competition and rapidly changing conditions in retail markets.
The Center undertakes a broad range of activities which are selected to meet the needs of a variety of retailers.
