Mr. Deepak Deshpande, VP Retail for Bata India delivers a guest lecture at IIRT on Monday February 4th 2008. Mr. Deepak Deshpande delivered a lecture titled “Retail – A Global Perspective” to the students of IIRT pursuing a certificate of “Leadership in Retail Operations”. Mr. Deshpande a 29 year veteran in the retail industry has extensive global retail experience and currently heads all retail sales for Bata in India. He indicated in his guest lecture that the retail industry is poised to expand rapidly in India and severely lacked trained personnel.
