Retail Training Institute with Retail Management India New Delhi

Two common themes emerged. First, a critical shortage of competent and trained entry-level sales / merchandising associates and store managers & the second was the need to ground the student both in retail knowledge and skills. The lack of soft skills was repeatedly emphasized. To help meet the needs of the retail industry, IIRT has signed a collaborative agreement with the University of Florida, Warrington School of Business Administration’s David F Miller Center of Retail Education and Research (UF/CRER). UF/CRER is renowned in the US for it’s retail acumen, knowledge and teaching. UF/CRER & IIRT, based on the needs of the retail industry, have formulated the objectives of the two certificate programs. UF/CRER is providing the content for the curriculums. IIRT, along with some of the most competent soft skill trainers has supplemented the curriculum to ensure sound grounding in student skill enhancements. UF/CRER will be setting the final exam and conferring the certificates to successful students.

Dr Barton A. Weitz & Betsy Trobaugh both of UF/CRER & Steven Kirn a well established US retail practitioner & educationist have made significant contributions to help make the experience for IIRT students differentiated. One example of this is integrating the course work with store experience, followed by an internship.
